The National Agency for Preparation for Euro 2012 and the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine recommended equipment manufactured by Safegate Group for installation at the airports of Ukraine serving the holding of the European Football Championship “EURO-2012”.

Within the framework of the project “Preparation and holding of the international championship EURO-2012” the company “Energosintez 2006” has completed the following project:

Modernization of the airport MA “Lviv” in the II category of ICAO (2011-2012)

• Runway and taxiway lighting equipment;
• CCO remote control system with communication via fiber optic cable;
• Half-lamp control and monitoring system integrated into the remote control system;
• Landing system SP200;
• Complex radio engineering aerodrome meteorological station KRAMS-4;
• Apron lighting.

The new runway, 3305 meters long, is 795 meters longer than the previous one and allows to receive long-haul aircraft without restrictions.

Lviv airport also received equipment to ensure landing according to ICAO category II from both landing courses (previously it was I CAT). After the introduction of the equipment, the aircraft will be able to land with a visibility of at least 400 meters (previously at least 800 meters).
